Our mission

The Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation is organized and shall operate exclusively for charitable, scientific, civic improvement, literary and/or educational purposes. In the fulfillment of such purposes, the Civic Foundation:

May make donations for the public welfare or for charitable, scientific, literary or education purposes, or otherwise promoting such purposes either directly or by granting other activities in aid of other organizations, enterprises or persons with like purposes as the Civic Foundation;
May undertake programs and facilities that will lessen the burdens of government, combat community deterioration and obsolescence and provide the Village of Whitefish Bay, its institutions and residents, with those priceless amenities possessing qualities of charm, beauty and utility, the funds for which are not normally raised by taxation or included as budgetary items but which add quality, substance and meaning to community living and set one community apart from another as healthy, vigorous and progressive;
May promote the advancement of education and science and the prevention and combating of juvenile delinquency with programs and facilities established to accomplish this end; and
May undertake programs to develop and improve individual capabilities, to instruct the public on subjects useful to the individual and beneficial to the community which will give the individual and community the tools with which to develop the mind and body, with particular emphasis on developing a keen appreciation and understanding of the arts, crafts, and sciences.
